Groupon Finally Over! / CM Snub / BCCS Charade / Karaoke Party!

Well, our Groupon has finally expired. Whew. Truthfully, it wasn’t as bad as we thought it would be from a logistics point of view and we actually feel it was a success. However, we’re not in a big hurry to do another one any time soon. Maybe over at Gentile’s this year – we’ll see.
The new Chicago Magazine is out and (of Course) we got snubbed- I mean we chose not to be in it- haha. Probably need a PR person for that type of exposure. Anyway, we rely on word of mouth from our fantastic customer base. Corporate is as Corporate does i guess.
Did anybody get any Bourbon County Coffee Stout? me neither!! Printers Row sold out their 1 case of 22s in a half hour at the good, honest price of $15. Gentile’s took a little longer – 12 hours. I heard a couple stories of shops selling them for $35.50 each and another new wine shop making their custos spend 20 Bucks before they could purchase a bottle of the sought after morning beer. You can find a bunch of it on ebay for $60 which is why we choose to just unload the stuff and move on from the drama.
Sunday, February 19th is our 2nd Semi Annual LIVE BAND KARAOKE PARTY AT REGGIES. (21st & State) $5. FREE Wine. Open Bar. Lots of laughs. We do this ever year (kind of) to party with our customers. the following monday is Presidents Day if that helps. 8-?pm
Our Beer coolers at both shops are locked and loaded for this weekends big game. Bulls vs Bucks saturday night!!!
We also restocked the wine wall with a bunch of new favorites and replenished your everyday go-to’s as well.
Thanks again for making us your favorite beverage retailer even if we’re not in Chicago Magazine!

This winter warmer is a traditional drink of Germans, Scandinavians, and most Northern Europeans. Using port and red wine as a base, it is blended with oils of citrus fruit, nuts, clove, cardamom, nutmeg and cinnamon. It is fantastic when heated with a spoonful of brandy soaked raisins and a cinnamon stick!
Make sure not to let it boil.
